Just wondering if it's a well spent $22 on a bottle of "Tigger Pods" from the LFS.

    Any thoughts?

i would think your better off geting ocean pods since they have 3 types of copepods(so more chances they might take off). but i dont think theres anything wrong with tigger pods. just dont get arctipods since they will die in warm water

I have heard on here that tigger pods are a cold water species and will not reproduce in your tank.

    Tiger pods will die.

You need Herpactacoid Copepods which are much small but are extremely hardy. They can withstand extreme changes in salinity, pH, temp, alk etc etc etc

Yes, tiger pods are in fact a cold water species. While they make an excellent food for your fish, consider it a one-time feeding. They will all be dead within 72 hours. They can't be used to "seed" a tank

Yikes. That'd be an expensive one-time feeding.

How about Ocean Pods, as mentioned above? Their website says the product contains three species, but doesn't specify which three.
