I just picked these up Friday night. They were opening and seemed to be doing good, then this morning they looked like this. The center is missing from one of them.

It looks to me like they might be dividing for you.

    Did you dip the rock?

And the center is missing, like you can see the rock through it?

I did a fresh water dip, but not the other stuff.

And, yea you can see the rock through the center. They're not splitting.

You know what I'm thinking now, is HE just got them in. He hadn't finished unpacking everything. I should have waited.

Would that have anything to do with it?

Is there anything I can do?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks as though they maybe melting. Bummer

Hopefully it will stop, perhaps try an area of lower lighting, that is what I would do.

Also it has been my experience that using CoralRX or Revive( or equiv) for dipping is much less stressful on corals.

I didn't think you were supposed to FW dip Corals. Unless they were Zoanthids.

May be not then, but it looks just like the way my green mushrooms split (fission). my red ones do it by pedal laceration.

I forgot to list my water parameters:

    temp- 79
salinity -1.25 (taken with a refractometer)
    PH 8.2
    Amonnia- 0
    nitrites- 0
    nitrates ? see pic below
    magnesium 1325

I'm not color blind, but I have a problem with shades so I don't know- this could be 0-10.

I have had ricordea split, but my mushrooms usually just start appearing as tiny babys around larger mushrooms. Don't know what that's called, but I wish it were splitting.

Is Revive something I could use now or is it too late for that?
