All depends on the tanksize, anemone type, and T5's. Mine has certainly thrived under 432watts of T5 but when we switched to 800 watts of halide it really began to look super healthy. The full coloration and size started to show through...

Exactly. The more watt per gallon is much better for the anemone. What size is your tank and whats the fixture your looking at buying?

Well I already have my T-5 unit. I am not sure the model. I will post that when I get home.

I have a twenty gallon tank with plans of upgrading to a 55 gallon around this time next year.

Gotcha I think just IMO that T5s are great to keep and anmemon but when you upgrade to a 55 look at getting metal halides for it. They wil love the lights.!.!.!

I have had a few nems in my 37g under t5's... my LTA got too big and traded them in at the LFS. My sebae nem didnt do so hot but neither did any of the others from that batch at the LFS, I took him back. I currently have no nems.

You can definitely keep anemones under t5ho lights, provided you have enough tubes over the tank.

I kept several anemones in my old 25g with 3x39 of t5ho retro on it.

I had the same 3x39 retro on my 90g for a few months, and the same BTA's I had in the 35g were not happy under that much light.

They are happy now though since i got halides around December. Teh tank was new, minus cured LR though, so that might have had something to do with it.

    Thanks for your responses.

Its a 10,000K Daylight and Actinic 03 blue flourecent

    14 watt daylight
    14 watt actinic

My LFS said that I could keep everything hard corals under them. They are very very bright lights that display my tank wonderfully.
