Im pretty sure this is GHA....im not to sure tho since i have never had it before....my blue legs and rest of my CUC seem to be ignoring it...I cant figure out where its coming from. I just reduced my lighting cycle. And my chaeto is growing like crazy. It almost triples in size once a week.

snails are part of the solution, you should find out where the extra nutrients are coming from. the best way to fight gha is with a plan.

heres how i battled with mine.
    - cleaned/replaced all filter media
    - clean pumps powerheads etc.
    - weekly waterchages rather than bi-weekly
    - remove as much gha by hand as possible. i used a syphon method to suck it up while waterchanging
-feeding while filter floss in the overflow to catch uneaten foods.
    - reduce lighting period
    -watch params closely

the idea is to starve the gha from available nutrients. ive also heard of people taking cheato and blanketing the nuissanse algae with it.

    good luck fellow cuber
