I just bought my son a new aquarium two goldfish (one black one gold) and an algae eater. I allowed the tank to run first and after letting the bag float i introduced the fish into the tank. The black one is fine swimming around and eating but the gold one just sank to the bottom and is not swimming. What is wrong with it???

Does it react if you nudge it? Sounds dead to me.

It is still alive because I is still moving its mouth. It was moving around in the bag before I put it in the tank

Did you acclimate the fish before introducing them into the tank? And I dont mean temp wise. Luna

Well I let the bag float for 15 min and added small amounts of the aquarium water to the bag before adding the fish

Fish are tough.. he'll pull though ;) Keep watching him. Probably just stressed. Is it a hyperventilation or is he just breathing normally?
