Is there a certain brand of garlic that you need to buy?

    Like the title says, is there a certain brand or is it any kind of garlic from the grocery store? And how do you know how much garlic to mix in with the food?

    Uh, you will want to puree it to a complete juice.... Other than that any garlic is fine.

    The kent garlic extreme has the same exact ingredients as a large $3 jar of chopped garlic in water. The kent brand has a MUCH stronger smell so I can only assume it is more concentrated. I just soak a couple drops of the garlic extreme on whatever i'm feeding for around a half hour (along with selcon), then toss it in the tank.

    Garlic is garlic... You might find the elephant ear, the jumbo stuff, or the smaller ones... I can tell you from experience... It is more cost effective to just buy the premade concentrated stuff... You will never get it that concentrated, you will lose a bit to spoilage and you will stink like garlic for days... Plus, not sure about you but my time is worth more than the couple bucks you would save attempting a DIY garlic extract.
