Is there a way to make the Octopus Bh 800s quieter?

    It's just soooo loud. My parents try to call me from downstairs, i can no longer hear them. I can hear the skimmer half way down the stairs, lol i have to turn up my t.v. louder *not a big deal* and i have to try to tune it out while i'm sleeping or in my room. Is there a mod that i can do to quiet this skimmer, or is it just the breakin period, for the skimmer, and it will eventually quiet down. It's only been running for 24hrs.

    Is there a muffler on the air in take? if its the air sucking noise that your hearing maybe a pill bottle or such with a very light packing of cotton on the end of the hose might work for you.
