BRS sells one that I wouldn't call cheap, but is one of the less expensive quality pumps out there.

Bubble Magus is one of the better affordable dosers out there; I don't think I'd rely on something too cheap.

In fact, even if you don't own a controller, it can't be beat. Get a reef angel twin doser and an rkl for about $200 and you have a twin doser plus the features of a controller for the same price most companies sell their dosers for.

lol mike you really like these things huh?

i was thinking the other day what do i do if i leave town. i need an auto doser and an auto top off. If I had the right connector cables I should be able to hook them into my RKL SL1 module. I just don't know enough about wiring or the RKL SL1 ports to know if autotopoff.com ATO's will work or if I have to go through Digital Aquatics. Same w/ the autodoser - does it come with the port cables for my RKL?

also a link would be good too, not really finding anything on marine depot or my other search attempts

You can find them for sale on reef angels site. It doesn't take any port cables to connect to the rkl. You just plug into one the power ports and control how many seconds the dosing pumps are on.

I can't say that they are better or worse than others on the market, but they are the cheapest I have seen.. Dosing pumps are relatively simple little devices that I think most companies charge way to much for.
