Increase waterflow to that area. Make sure your bulb(s) arent old and wore out. Any snails in the tank? Keep up with the water changes, coraline will come.

you have to manually remove it as you see them, particularly the red slimy one. I don't think there is any easy way to get rid of algae.

The real way to get rid of algae is by getting nutrients out of the tank. You can do that by having a fuge with macroalgaes that you want, or have those macros in your DT (i have gracilaria and kelp in my DT so my tang can always eat), or you can have a DSB in a sump. You could do a denitrator setup, but they're very finicky and can wipe out a tank if not properly done. You can do big water changes frequently too.

Removing algae as it grows, btw, is actually getting nutrients out of your tank too.

A guy at my LFS said that clorox works. Its 1 cap per 20 gallons.

buy a macro algae such as spaghetti algae to compete with the bad algaes food source. Also, reduce phosphates and nitrates.

less feeding, more water changes, less lighting period, more manual removing it. I did just buy some chemi-clean (algae remover) for my cyano. but after doing a few wc in last 2 weeks, my cyano isnt to bad.. I will use it soon because Im getting some algae on my corals and thats hard to remove. crabs and snails can only do so much.
