Just noticed this today. I searched majano pics & only seen them open up. Just wondering if it is a closed majano. It's right above green mushroom. [IMG]

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
To me it does look like one. I suppose if it retracts just like one with no obvious skeletal structure once retracted it probably safe to assume it is a pest anemone.

I searched web & can't find a pic of one closed up. It hasn't opened up yet to whatever it might be. I'm betting on some sort anemone but I'm gonna roll the dice & wait. I'm just that curious!

Do we see the same thing? Cause its balled up nice & tight with its things already hangin out. That's the part that's got me confused.

It's a majano. Just not a closed up one. In the pic I can clearly see the tentacles and mouth.

What I'm not seeing is the "balled up tight nice and tight" thing that has "things" sticking out.

FWIW In my experience majano are in no way as invasive as aiptasia. Especially the 'pretty' ones. Still might be a good idea to remove it as they have been known to out compete coral for real estate.
