    Didnt cook any of it. Rinsed it with ro water and let it air dry on cardboard in the garage.

    Truth be told I actually like the look of your marco rock more than a what I can make out in his picture (aside from a few select pieces of his)

    I like the pourous rock that I got from marco. More surface area for water to flow through to buffer the water. Mine turned crystal clear in less than 48 hours.

    Ordered 150 lbs rock from marco. Now I need some muratic acid...

    I used Marco rocks also and am very happy with it. I don't think I even rinsed it, but I was starting a new tank with it and new sand, so I didn't bother rinsing the rock because I knew I would get a TON of dust anyways with the sand.
