It looks like the newest version of that model is selling for $299 at bulkreefsupply.com

New Version of that model, Reef Octopus DNW150 6” Recirculating Protein Skimmer
    [IMG]
    It only has 3 reviews

I bought a slightly different reef octopus model brand new on-line at bulkreefsupply.com for $199. Reef Octopus NWB150 6” Pinwheel In Sump Protein Skimmer

it is also a 6" skimmer rated for up to 150 gallons. It has good ratings (34 reviews...i weigh a lot on reviews lol), so I'm confident in it. I like the fact that I still have a warranty backing my purchase if there are any problems, and since it's straight out of the box I trust it a little more. I can always try to get a refund if I need one. I love buying used items, but it's harder for me to buy used mechanical items. You just never know whether or not it's going to work right, and there's not really any guarantee.

Check out the SC Aquariums SC150
mine came with the Atman2500 and a pin wheel, etc.

Works great on my 125reef, and it was $100 new shipped to my door.

They can be found on Ebay- there have been many threads about them.

Just throwing another option out there

Sc skimmer is def a good option also. Only reason i did not buy the sc is because it does not use a gate valve, at least im pretty sure it does not. But for the price its pretty awesome from what I have read.

Sweet! I have the same thing, a 75 gallon with a 30 gallon long sump. We still have to get the water in it, but things are coming along. I'm excited ;D
