As always, I am looking for most bang for my buck as I have done with all my equipment. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal. Seems like a pretty complete system. He listed at $300 but said will sell for $275. I thought it was pretty high priced. One plus is that he is local to me. Thanks in advance for your input.

We need to know gallons per day, how many stages it has, if it's just RO or is it RO/DI, etc.

Do you know what size tank he had..?? If he also made RODI water for
fellow feefers..?? in 6 months he could have used it ALOT..

It said 6 months old..?? Make double sure the membranes, filters are good..
    Membranes can cost to replace..
Just to be 6 months old I noticed what looked like rust, paint chipped off the storage tank.. Maybe thats not what I saw..
Just be sure it's what he says it is.... the shape..

    Good Luck, Larry

I'd say no. It's not a good deal. Without reading the description, and stopping at seeing "100 GPD" after seeing the pics, I ask "why?"

The ad says 6 stages, I don't see 6 stages. I see a dual TDS meter, which is great, but you can buy that for $19.99 on eBay. I see a storage tank too, but I don't have one, and don't need one--although you might have some reason to have one. I see 2 horizontal chambers. The RO membrane is typically in a horizontal chamber. No issue there. Whatever else is in the second horizontal chamber (probably the DI chamber), shouldn't be. Horizontal means channeling, which isn't good. Quality RO/DI units contain only one horizontal chamber, that which houses the RO membrane.

He's charging additional money for the booster pump that I guess he needed. If your home or apt. has normal city pressure, you don't need a booster pump. Why buy his?

Without considering anything other than what I see in the pics--knowing that a brand new 5 stage unit from airwaterice.com is $159, I ask why would you pay more than that for a used one that's clearly not as good a product?

Buckeye Field Supply makes a good product too. Both of those guys are sponsors here at 3Reef.

At the risk of sounding very opinionated--I'd say to you Don't Waste Your Money!!

Buy new for less. (Sorry, Craigslist Dude.)

    Good luck. :)

I did think it was high and I wanted to verify with you guys considering how new I am. I guess the fact it has a booster kit included interested me in the event my water pressure is low. It doesn't seem low out of the shower and sink but is weak coming from the water hose. Do I even need a booster kit. If i don't then I am going brand new.

    Thanks

    Jay
