is this a good deal what sould i be aware of???

there is a gentelman on craigslist in my area who has a lot of stuff he said about 20000 dollars worth new, 2 150 gal tanks and custom stand refragrums sumps 80 and 90 gall live rock still cultivating in a 55 gal tank 2 39 gallon tanks lightin halide pumps filters and a million other things i figure i could get away with all of it for 4 to 5 hundred dollars
of coarse make sure the silicone in tanks are good ?
any other helpfull hints i could really appreciate the buiying advise
i would buy the 2 150 gal tanks to resell ?

 

if you are truly interested just go look and see if its the real deal. maybe the tanks leak. maybe the rock sitting in the 55 is NASTY. and theres creeps on craigslist to bring a friend

 

Any time someone is willing to sell you $20,000 worth of something for $400-500, the answer is "Yes, there is plenty you should be aware of."

I'd just be very, very careful I knew exactly what I was dealing with. Some deals really are too good to be true. Just be careful. People do win the lottery as well, but it is rare.

good idea i have two friend going with me and i figured i would take pics and write down the inventory then go out to luch and weigh out the price and conditions of the items he said he used to sell and set up tanks for resturants

He could be exaggerating when he said it's worth about $20,000, but I would be very cautious, unless he needs the equipment out immediately for some reason.
