I only paid $150 for my MH fixture with free shipping off eBay. 250W with 2X 65W pc's and 4X LEDs.
After shipping thats only a few dollars more than this T5 fixture. Mine is 24" though, I guess there might be a price difference to 30".

if you are gonna drop 100-150 bucks you could get better than that. i got a 48" brand new 260 watt for 160, i'm sure you could find better for a 30". not to mention, that the watts per gallon wouldn't even be three with that fixture. what are you trying to grow right now?

and same question to you... what fixture did you purchase for that price? im not interested in odyssea or anything that has problems right off the bat.

It really depends on the age of the bulbs. If you have to turn around and buy all new bulbs for the fixture, then no, not really a good deal.

What problems do odyssea's have? I've had mine for over a year now and haven't had any problems. And I'm planning on buying another of the same exact fixture when I set up my 75.
Their skimmers on the otherhand, I have owned also, and they aren't exactly the best performers...to say the least.

actually it was a coralife. i've never had any problems with it and i am running it for about a year now. it was from a company that was trying to get rid of the old models to get the new ones in.

well i looked around a little bit for you and i found a 130 watt for $146(includes shipping) at drs.fosterssmith. if you can find that cheap of a price with a retailer, you should be able to find a cheaper one somewhere out there. i'll keep looking for you. do you have paypal?
