this is my first post, to anyone who answers, i have a 40 gal tank, for brackishwater, and right to the left on the same table, im putting a 10 gallon sump, i have a question about the design, and really was just wondering whats the point of the hang on back overflow prefilter, i posted a pic, and if 190 gallons pump is enough flow for 40 gallon tank that was cracked but i repaired it with some cut glass and aquarium safe silicone will this be durable?

the siphon i create sends water directly from the inside skimmer over the tank to the sump in, then filters through to a 190 gph pump back to the tank, the pump stands on top of something just in case of power failure and my siphon breaks

Ehhhh depends on how bad it was cracked and how good of a glass repairman u are...lol I myself wouldnt chance it, 10g tanks are cheap enough to buy a new one ...probably cheaper than you paid to fix it ;)

Or are you saying the 40G was cracked? because if thats the case...boy i dunno if I would chance it myself..
