I wouldn't waste your money on one of these. Get a Refractometer - RHS-10ATC This is a automatic temperature compensate for salinity.

If you insist on a hydrometer thats the worst, look at the Instant Ocean model. I would skip the hydrometer myself, I bought a refractometer years ago and threw all three of my hydrometers in the back of the closet, not one agreed with either each other or the refractometer. I did use a Sharpie and mark corrections on each but it was a hassle compared to dropping two drops or water on the refractometer and looking into the light. Everyone talks about breaking them but I have had mine 6 years and the rubber/armor coating protects it very well. Its a Sybon brand by the way.

Well that hydrometer you were looking at isn't digital they lied. It has the same substance as a digital display (liquid crystals) but instead of being excited electronically they are excited thermally.

They are the easiest things to use. Once you get one you'll see.

LOL, the refractometer requires you to put 2 drops of the water being tested on the glass window and then look thru the eye piece to read the number. It's as digital as you will find :p
