    i have a 50 gallon reef tank and i got the coral life super skimmer it is rated for a 65 gallon tank is this skimmer any good

    just bought one myself so i hope it's a good one. top of the line; no. will it get the job done; yes. most people on here think they're okay for the price.

    I have one on a 29 gal and it works great. I have had it overflow the collection cup a couple times when trying to get it adjusted, but now that its dialed in I'm really happy with it.

    I think they are a good skimmer, A great bang for the buck, but I think they are overrated as far as what they say they can handle, I would have opted for the next size up, but Ive installed several of them and everyone seems to like them, also nice that it can be installed in sump or as a hob.

    For a 50 gallon you should have went with the 125 super skimmer instead of the 65.
