Is this a good skimmer??

I need a new one ASAP. Saw this one on ebay, not sure if its to cheap or not.

no clue. never had one of those. i have an eshopps and love the thing.

 

I would pass on both of therm. Look into reef octopus hang ons as well as cpr hang ons.

 

I don't think I would go with either since they don't have a manufacturer named.
The first one is definitely too small. Most skimmers are overrated by 30to 50%.

I would look into SWC, eShopps or Bubble Magus. They seem to be the best values though definitely more expensive. Look for ones rated at least for 100 gallons.

 

Thats the thing... I dont have a couple hundred to spend on a skimmer right now. Mine isnt working so I need to find me something to hold me over till i can offerd something good.

 

1st one is a Jebo and you will be dissapointed within 6 months and want to upgrade

the second one looks like an Azoo Trimax to me , another Chinese brand , but with a better rep than Jebo

I wouldnt buy either myself - but the 2nd one is better than the 1st one IMO

If you're really in a need to squeeze some pennies right now, you should look at these:

They are by no means awesome, but I ran the PS75 for awhile and it does work.

fair point Katie - your sig indicates you have a sea clone
if thats still the case IMHO neither of these skimmers represent an upgrade for you
