I have a Red Sea Prizm skimmer for up to 40 gallon tanks, for my 29 gallon tank. I like that it has a large collection cup with a secure lid- this has saved my floor a couple of times because it ensures the cup does not overflow. It is also easy to adjust and clean. I also like that it has a media basket inside of it, right now I have Seachem denitrate in it, and in the past I've put activated carbon in it.

I don't like that it is a hang-on skimmer (I bought it online and the site neglected to tell me this) so that I can't put it in my sump (the water level cannot be lower than 4 inches below hanging point). That may be a good thing though if you keep a lot of water in your sump, since it would save space. It also produces a lot of bubbles at first.

Overall, I would recommend it to others. Hope this helped :)

Agree with bje, especially if it works like Jakes. Your tank has a sump though correct?

The taams are awful. I have fiddled with a few and seem to break them easily.
