    Thank you Don!!

    "Hey reefersRus,

Your snail is a juvenile buccinid whelk, Cantharus (Pollia) undosus (or Pollia undosa, if you accept Pollia as a full genus). This species gets a flared lip when it reaches adulthood, as in the link below. It won't bother your corals, but may attack and kill any snails that you have in your tank.

    Pollia undosa

    Cheers,

    Don"

I looked the whelk up and that is it exactly!!! As I would love to keep a crocea in the future I took it out. Thank you all for your help. This is a great site!!;D;D;D

I know this is late. but it looks like an oyster drill I caught off some jetties. it ate all my small clams. They are predators on bivalves. Atleast that what i thought I ID'd mine to being.

It's a Whelk. They eat bivalves (clams, mussels, oysters, etc), snails and stationary crustaceans (barnacles) depending on species.

Given the shape of this one's shell, it looks to be a bivalve eater. They use the back end of the shell like a crowbar to pry open the clam, and then they have free reign inside their food source.
