    ok so my clownfish...

one of them often goes to the powerhead (the one that makes water flow in my tank).. and then turns upside down and sort of rubs its belly on it. not scratching, more like rubbing pretty slowly.

then my other clown gets close and they both go away to the other side of the tank and swime against the current of the waterflow. (its kinda funny to watch)

i dont think its a problem since they both act normal and eat a lot. or is there?

Could they be trying to host the powerhead?

or maybe trying to lay eggs? (it will be weird since the clowns havent been in my tank longer than 3 months.)

May be trying to scrub a parasite off? Actually, my pair have been acting odd lately, oddly enough with the canister filter's output.

i dont think is a parasite, simply by the way the clown "rubs" its belly...

see, the clown gets close to the powerhead, turns up side down, or upside up and then swimes either up or down the powerhead barely touching the fins on the powerhead and then it goes away. (it takes about 10 seconds doing that before it goes away)

maybe i shouldnt have used the word rubing... its more like....... touching gently.

maybe it likes the vibrations ...

    Sorry, I went there. :D

Actually, it may be a form of showing it's territory to anything that it comes across. I know mine don't like to have another fish within a foot away when they are close together. I'm betting that's whats going on. Does it do it when the powerhead is off?
