    Chaetodontoplus genus of fish get to be mamoths. Thats why, no typo there. sorry.

    7"? My 6" bicolor thrived in my tank. Just a bit confused cuz I've seen different tank requirements across the web.

    Not only is size an issue but according to them, so is keeping them. A large tank gives the fish a better sense of ease and comfort, which makes them ok to eat and be healthy.

    your 40 gallon would probably increase stress, no way to avoid it. sucks but it is what it is.
