Is this Aiptasia?? Thanks for the help

    Kill em or keep em. There are two clusters of these. Not sure if it is Aiptasia or maybe a cluster of dusters???

    No they are not Aptaisa..I have many little clusters of them also in my tank..SO far they are harmless they are on coral frags, and other stuff and have not hurt them and its been on there since day one(4-5 months now).

    I think they may be a type of Feather duster possibly. But so far all i know is that they are harmless.

    And also they are not spreading at all in my tank.

    Welcome to 3reef.

    Those are colonial hydroids and they can and will irritate and kill your coral. Best way to kill them is to cover in kalk paste if it is small or use epoxy putty and entomb them.

    I have a colony of about 12 about .1 inch away from my acans and blastos, they dont irritate them or spread or anything...

    2in10 is correct with his post. You may not have noticed anything, but that is what they are and the problem with them.
