Ok just got home from work and I was feeding and observing my tank and I came across this. I think it's Aiptasia or Majano. Don't know if I am saying the same thing. This hitchiker came on the rubble of the toadstoal that I got from an order from LA. This is one of the corals that was shipped that I didn't order. Any what is it and how do I get rid of it? Would it be best to pull the coral and rubble out? I got several other pieces from them and I hope that they don't have the same thing. I'll check and see. Thanks

Just Great  What's the best way to get it out? I know that this is not good to have in the tank.

If I try to remove the coral from the rock that it came on and try to glue it to another in my tank will I kill it?

There are several effective solutions. Aiptasia-X, lemon juice or boiling water injected in the the aiptasia or using a kalk solution to entomb it.

I read some of the threads where these methods were used effectively but I also read posts where they also recommended removing the live rock. I would rather not introduce chemicals or try my hand at target practice LOL ;D

So if I remove the rock will this thing take off to another or has this thing set up shop on that rock?

If you pull the rock out it will come with the rock. Just do not irritate it may release spores that will become more.

I can get the rock out without touching the little bugger. If I can't break off that piece of rubble or I find more than what I saw do you think that the toadstool will transplant ok?

I do think you should be able to transplant the toadstool. You could use gel superglue after you pull the rock out to entomb the aiptasia. Just dry the area around it and the cover well with superglue. Then take some tank water and pour it over the glue to get it to harden.
