    What I am curious to know about is the red growth and the bubbles that are all over the place around it. If anyone can help me out and also provide a solution to the problem id love it.

    thanks so much everyone

    Cyano bacteria is what you have. Siphon it off often and keep your phosphates to a minimum. Granulated ferric oxide and aluminum oxide are the most commonly used media for phosphate control. Bio-pellets and vodka dosing are other means of removal.

    cyanobacteria, its annoying but can be dealt with. The best way to start the help is for you to provide ALOT more info:
    tank size
    flow
    water source
    water params(all of them)
    age of tank
    stocking
    feeding
    lighting
    etc

    thanks

    Hermit crabs can help get rid of cyano. Try adding about one per two gallons.

    tank size= 20 gallon biocube
    flow= 1 koralia nano
    water source= fresh and saltwater all purchased from my local fish store
    Params= nitrate-0, nitrite- 0, ammonia- 0, pH- 8.1, salinity- .028
    Age- 3 months
    Stocking- not sure what this means
    feeding- I feed my damsel once in the morning and once at night with new life spectrum feeding formula
    lighting- rapid led custom leds. (8 blue, 4 white) and moonlights ( 2 blue)

    The center console part of the back of the cube has the three compartment tray that has carbon, chaeto, and Im not sure what is in the bottom part ( i think its biopellets but im probably wrong).

    ahh, 3 months old, I'd just do what 2in10 posted, suck the stuff off and wait, alot of new tanks go through this, it will hopefully die down in a bit. what size hydor nano? ya may want a bit more flow.

    I would, especially if you have any plans for corals. you only have about a 10X turnover rate shoot for 20X at least for basic corals in not 30-40X your tank volume.

    And cyano likes low flow areas, so it should help, but it may just need to use up the nutrients it likes for a bit.

    Did you get the diatom bloom yet? brown ugly stuff silmilar but no bubbles?

    +1
    You might also want to raise the pH a little. Cut back on feedings a little.and try chemclean. Once everything equals out you shouldn't have cyno problems again.

    Note: Your lighting seems to me to have too much actinic and not enough white light. Although Actinics may your corals colors pop, it can also lead to bleaching.
