Is this bristleworm good or bad??

    I just found a bristleworm in a frag I got today. He looks almost exactly like the attached pic except the hairs on his sides are whiter and his body is a brighter shade of red. Should I remove him from the tank or is he ok?

    Just make sure you remove the big guys. I took a 10" long .75" wide one out of my tank last week. Was in an old snail shell and just happened to be cleaning the shells up. I'm a great snail killer...

    Another thing to watch is cleaning your filter. Just last week i cleaned the sponges in our canister and got hundreds of fine splinters in my hands. Spoke to the LFS and they were baby bristleworms....Ouch they really hurt!
