Is this Coraline?

    Sorry guys, I can't get a good picture of it but there are white spots/flecks or encrusting going on on more shaded areas of my rock and all over the back wall of my tank. Near some of the white spots, I can see purple coming on. Is this Coraline?

    That definitely sounds like coralline. FWIW, different strains prefer different light levels, so you may eventually see colors other than purple in places you didn't expect it to grow at all. :)

    Thats what that is. After about a year with my Figi rock..I have Purples, Greens, Yellows, all different shades.

    If you want it to spread faster, supplement with some iodine and scrape existing coraline off into the tank and there you go. Faster coverage.
