is this fin rot

    is this fin rot on my trigger if it is how do you cure it

    It looks like your triggerfish may have flukes. I see some white splotches on his fins. Does his eyes look cloudy?

    To treat flukes you'll have to use prazipro.

    Are there other fish in the tank that could inflict that kind of damage?

    I dunno about the rot but that's an Undulate Trigger, one of the meanest there is! There'd have to be a much larger trigger to go after him. ... or a school of littler guys I suppose...

    Well non of those sound like the culprit.

    Did you notice the fin deteriorating or did it just appear as large as it is?

    The Trigger is not trying to eat your Urchin is it?

    Could this be an injury from the rock work?

    I have seen him mess with the urchin and there is some of his fin missing right behind the spots on the top fin

    I'm still leaning towards flukes. I know when my large angels and triggers had it, their fins looked damaged and I would see cloudy eyes and white splotches like your trigger has.

    Do a google search on flukes and there are some articles that state flukes will damage the fins.
