I don't worry about them as long as they keep eating...when they stop eat...I'll start worry because they are getting sick

OK I figured this out and as was mentioned by a previous reefer there is one of the chromis' that is bullying the other weaker ones. Everytime the shy chromis peers out to eat the bully chases him back into the rocks. So there it is positive proof that only the strong survive when your in the tank...eerie sounds in the background...Twilight Zone music...dum da dum dum dum da dum dum dummmm;D

    Mini Trap

I have an idea that you can do without destroying your tank setup. Make a trap for the mantis. Grab a 20oz water bottle. Cut the top off, like 2in down so you have a funnel. On the lower half drill some small holes into it (this will allow the water to flow through it & attract it) & attached a twine close to top of the lower half. Place a small rock for weight, nothing crazy. Now place the top section into the bottle, so you have it looking like a funnel into the bottle. Secure the two half together (you can even use the twine & lace both halfs together) & place some food into it. You just made a mini lobster or Mantis trap. Trust me, it will work. :)

If you are still confused I can make a small vid for you.. ;D

One thing about these critters is I only see him once in a while and he's very shy and smart but a video would be interesting.
