    moving it into QT will stress it more IMO, enrich your foods with garlic first.

    thanks, my food is new life spectrum flakes with garlic, but I will be adding a supplement as well as of today, just to make sure. it seems like he has gotten rid of it on his own, but I will treat him for a month or so before adding any fish to be sure

    It's more likely that the cysts (eggs) have fallen off the parasite and into the tank. This is why your not seeing the ICH. Again, only visible are the cysts. The parasite itself will still be burrowed into the fish feeding.
    Also garlic does nothing to kill or protect any fish from ICH. It is said to only stimulate eating. Can actually do more harm then good.

    again everyone has given me 100 different opinions I dont have a clue what to do anymore. I know I'm going to use an ich treatment, ie Ich Attack. but other then that I dont know

    Yes treat the tank make sure it is reef safe. If the fish has ich in the dt and you put it in qt the display tank still has ich on the rocks sand and in the water. Your best bet is to treat the tank. And why would garlic be bad? So a fish eating well Is bad? Hummm?

    I have been treating the tank and him, no signs of further ich thus far, and who said garlic is bad? lol I love it for all my fish!

    the ich will often look like it is gone but it is really just in between waves
