Picked up a few damsels the other night and didn't notice any issues. However, now I'm seeing white spots on them. Both of my dominos has spots. My yellow tail doesn't.

Do they have ICH? If so how do I get rid of it in a reef aquarium?

    Thanks!!

It's really hard to tell from the pictures, but if it is, it doesn't look very advanced yet. As a precaution, I'd make sure you feed high HUFA foods/ food with garlic to help boost their ability to fight it if it is.

The only way to completely rid it from the system is to remove all fish and allow it to be fallow for 8 weeks. I had an ich outbreak previously and I just fed high quality foods and mad sure my water quality was good and all fish survived/ the ich receded and I never had another outbreak, though it was technically still in the system.

Lesson learned, get a UV sterilizer and you wont have to worry about it anymore.

??? UV can certainly help with Ich to an extent (assuming high enough wattage and slow enough flow), but by no means should it be considered an answer to rid a tank of Ich. I only run UV in my 46 QT. It's a Turbo Twist 36 watt with about 250 GPH flow. Runs 24/7, yet Ich is still present in the tank (fish will soon be moved to a HT to be treated).

I'm dealing with an ich outbreak right now. I setup a 10 gallon hospital/quarantine tank and moved my fish to it. I'm using cupramine to get rid of the rich and it seems to be working great. After about6 days all the spots were off my fish and now abiut10 days into treatment my Fish seem to be back to themselves. I plan on leaving my DT fallow for 8weeks and dose copper 4 weeks in my qt tank then slowls remove the copper over the next 4 weeks after treatment so after a total of 8 weeks my fish will return to my DT. My cuc and corals are doing great in my DT it just looks empty without fish.
