I am about to start a 20 gallon long frag tank and lighting is my last step.im looking at the 36" 156W (4x 39W) HO T5 Light Fixture Basic. how does this light pan out? Metal halides are out of the question for me due to cost i am in college and money is always running low. I can accept that i may not be able to grow hard corals but i want my gsp and mushrooms to grow very quikly and spread. Will this light be sufficient for what i want?

that light should work pretty good and throw a lot of light, 36 inches might be kind of long for the 20 gallon long tank, which is 29 inches.

that light WILL grow hard coral and support clams, will your water be good enough though? GSP and mushrooms will grow under a candle light. :)
