    Hi guys,

I just removed a dying anemone from my tank. Do I need to do a complete water change to insure that it hasn't released harmful material in my tank?

What would you guys do? The water doesn't smell bad, and the anemone itself doesn't smell bad yet, as it is in a QT container.

Let me know what you think!

Just to be safe I would do around a 20-50% waterchange, but that is just me! Good luck!

no need its only if the anemone is decaying but if it was still dying or just recently died it shouldnt be a problem

Alright thanks! When an anemone dies, does it kill everything instantly?
