Is this normal growth?

    I have this Neon Polyp True Undata, a before and now pic, I don't know how this Corals grows, but it is on a plug, but as it grew out, it started to wrap down on to the rock, is this an encrusting type of SPS?

    Looks like an encrusting monti. Normal growth.

    OK! I wasen't sure of they were encrusting, because he sure seems to be now. :D

    Undata is much more plating than encrusting, but what's "normal" growth depends on light and flow.

    That's kind of what I thought, that it has its own plate to grow on, kind of like my Red Candy Cap. In the back where you can't see it really folded down to hug the rock. Its grown a lot, but I haven't checked to see if it actually attached to the rock. Later I will be going in to my 72 bowfront, its going to be hard to relocate it with the way its hugging the rock its on now.
