Is this normal?

I have a few acan mini colonies now and i have one acan frag that i got about 2 months ago, it has gone from 1 head to about 8 heads now, but the new heads arent exactly colored up..They look faded really, is this normal? params are good.

 

i'm not sure about the faded heads but that seems like fast growth for acans. you aren't shooting them up with steroids are you?

 

I soak the mysis in roid juice i buy from the LFS;D..Should really try it, works for all types of corals, small,big and round..;D

But i agree, they are growing VERY fast..haha faster then my GSP..which is weird..

Here is the first day i had it when it was open.

its looks like they are just inflating larger each day, my lords look like that, i just got 3 new heads coming in, but mine arent really faded, i would say when mine get really puffed up they look a little not so bright, but it has something to do when the inflate..I cant really type what im trying to say..hope this makes sense, if your getting that growth i would just let mother nature take its course..7 heads of growth in a couple months is good growth..so far on my lords i get 3 heads a month..

 

Alright, I understand what your saying..All of my acans look 10 times better when they are closed up haha, but okay ill just let them do what they do.

 

By the pic I would say everything is normal.

 

Alright, i just wanted to make sure everything was okay, since they are less colorful then the others..

Since all these acans are close to each other, can they morph into different colors?

 

If your concerned about color go to your LFS and see if this have this, its called Koral Color, its made by Brightwell Aquatics, and it'll run you about 20$ for a 500ml bottle, it actually works pretty good, all my coral have nice color not sure if its b/c of it but they havent lost any since ive had them.

 

Ill have to look the next time i go and see if they have it.

 

ive never even heard of it, or anyone else using it..is it a new product they have relaesed..also what are the ingredients that will cause the colors to pop..
