We bought our anemone yesterday and was afraid he was sick cuz he looked like he was melting. This morning my anemone looked perfect. During the night he backed up against a couple of rocks and was large and flowing all day long. Now I'm starting to get scared again- He's all shriveled up and this time his tenticles even look deflated. Help!
Also, if all this normal behavior then how would I know if he was dying?

I will say that the lighting is excellent-plus its a shallow tank- and the water perameters are great, however our tank is pretty newly set up- i hope he dont die! I didnt know they needed an older set up. Thanks in advance for the help.

How can you not know?? Anemones are very delicate to bad water params and will shrivel up when something is bad in the water. Double check nitrates, I have noticed LTA's acting negatively toward nitrates in the water.

nope, perameters are fine. I was told that a new anemone will sometimes look like this, which is why i wonder what he would look like if he was really dying- a description would be nice
