"If current trends hold—that is, if humans keep emitting heat-trapping carbon emissions on the same scale—coral will face an existential threat this century."

"VICE is covering the launch of the Global Goals for sustainable development. In the next fifteen years, the UN wants to achieve three massive tasks: end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice and fix climate change. For more information on the Global Goals go to collectively.org."

The two qouted sections of text.
The first- Humans keep emitting....- I didn't realize that humans actually emitted carbons.
Methane yes- farts. While I do realize they actually meant mankind and the industrial age and internal combustion engines, etc.- it didn't say that.

The second quote - the UN's massive tasks? fight inequality and injustice?, FIX climate change? END EXTREME poverty? The UN?
Do I have to express that while these may be just goals, the UN? Accomplish this?
This is the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Oh wait- I'm not even worried about it- the UN's on it!
