If the copper was causing it, wouldn't the other corals - finger leather, elephant ear, trumpets, and frogspawn be looking bad as well? I'll pick up some Cupri-sorb tonight, and do another 5-10 gallon water change. Thanks.

Most likely yes but even if the other inverts aren't being affected, I would still run the Cuprisorb if lfs water was added to your tank. Better safe than sorry :)

I didn't get a chance yesterday to buy some Cuprisorb, but I saw some good news this morning. The devils hand expanded back to near its normal size, and half of the polyps were out. There was some sort of skin shedding off it, and it still has the white spots. At least I know it's still alive and healthy enough to try to fight/survive whatever was wrong with it.

Well, Monday morning was the last time it was half open. All day/night yesterday and today it hasn't open and shrunk down to even smaller in size and looks wrinkled at the base. It isn't falling apart yet though. What are the other signs to tell if this one is dead for sure? Water parmaters are all good. Thanks.

leathers can be tricky little things, I hope all turns out well.

Perhaps you could direct a little more flow at it as they seem to do better in morerate to high flow areas

Well, it is turning yellow and wrinkled near the base, but it isn't soft or mushy at all yet. There is plenty of flow around it in the tank. Thanks guys, and I'll let you know how it turns out. Just watched your video Wastemanagement, great job on that wavemaker.
