It's pictures like those that really get my girlfriend excited about my hobby. She's already told me that when I get out of college and have a stable job and house I can upgrade to larger tank only if I make my current 29gal tank an attached sea horse tank. Gotta love a girl that's into the hobby with me.

I've seen how some people attach their sea horse tank to their existing DT and sump making one big system. It's something I've considered but not sure on. I thought I read somewhere that they like cooler waters so I don't think it would work out too well. That's something for me to decide later on down the road when I actually have the money and space for another tank and have done all of my sea horse research.

They do need much cooler water and low salinity, so it may not be a good idea. You can keep seahorses at a warmer temp and higher SG but they wouldnt last long.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Aren't they more prone to diseases at higher temps? Like I said, I still have two years of college left until I'm done with my Masters before I start thinking about a sea horse setup.

Yes they are. Bacteria isn't able to breed as much in low temps, but once the temp raises it can start to multiply and the seahorses cant fight it off as well.
