    You need to also order the Prizm Deluxe upgrade kit. Otherwise, it doesn't skim from the surface and that's the best place to skim from. Prizm Skimmer Deluxe Upgrade

    It's very hard to adjust just right though

    yeah every one says there are really bad : / i am sorry, if you already bought it though, just ride it threw, cause some people have said its ok at skimming if tuned in, i got a skimmer that people said were be ok, but i tuned it in and its AWSOME! it skims alot of slug out of my tank.

    Atleast it isn't the the SEACLONE, though I think the Coralife needle wheel is better than the Prizm. As Curt pointed out, a surface skimmer attachmentis a must to remove matter/film that tends to reside at the water's surface, reducing the amount of beneficial and available light to your livestock below.

    I have the coralife and personally love it. Great price for pretty efficient skimming. Easy set up, and can be used in sump or hang on. i have the 65 and wished i got at least the 110 so i could have the drainage port :-/ Might eventually tap my own...... :)

    Havent bought one yet but just thinking about a skimmer, I know this is not the place to skimp, but if it's and average skimmer or no skimmer at all.

    More than light, it's super important for gas transfer, O2 in, Co2 out.
