is this too fine?

    saw this sand made by nature's choice in oetco today and love the look of it. VERY white and very fine.

    it says the grain size .1 to .5 mm

    is that too fine?

    90 gallon fish FOWLR, planning on doing a 4" sand bed

    anyone know of any other BRIGHT white sand?

    is caribsea oolite very white?

    i use agronite sand, fairly large pieces. It seems to work well for me. It also is a fine white color

    Rather fine sand almost like what is called sugar sand and it will blow and move in the water column all the time.. Also with a fine oolitic like this you can get denitrification in a shallow bed of a inch or so . It would not be my first choice having useing sugar 0.1 to 1.0 once ): Then you have to watch for the dead areas also after the system has been up for a few months or a yr or so.
