Is this too much Bio-load at one time?

So my next order for Livestock is going to be:

    2 Clarkii Clowns
    Cleaner Shrimp
    Pajama Cardinal
    12 'Baby' Zoa frags

I know the Corals don't really count as bio-load since they produce so little but are the 2 Clowns, The pajama and the Cleaner too much Bio-load at one time if I get them all at the same time?

Me myself I'm leaning more towards the Yes side but I'm just making sure with you guys. By the way the tank is 20g's

And also by the way there's nothing using up loads of Bio load right now, I only have Corals a few small inverts such as snails, Feather duster, Hermit Crabs and I also have a Sea Hare which I'm going to return in a few weeks or so

4 new additions in a 20 gal with no current bioload... Wouldn't do it. If it were a tad bigger I'd say go for it. Start out with the pajama and cleaner shrimp or you could use a bacteria additive such as Dr tims one and only, biospira, or microbacter 7 and add them no problem Imo as you'd be dosing the bacteria immediately rather than waiting for it to multiply to handle the new load.

Actually, the shrimp counts as part of your CuC, so only the fish would add to the bioload. And yes, you should be fine with that.

A little more information would help here.

    What kind of filtration?
How long has the tank been cycled and stable?

You only need to worry about the fish themselves, and a pair of clowns and cardinal are not big fish and may not create such a big bio-load to add at once. But need to make sure that your filtration can handle the bioload. And just keeping an eye on it will help. Always have some SW on hand incase you need to do a fast water change.

So I reserve my opinion without more info.

I wouldn't add much more, but indeed, more info is needed. Just as MB said, it's prob wont put too much shock on your set-up, and from the sounds of it you've already got some life in there already. For an honest "Go/No-go" answer fill in the blanks so nobody is ill informed and sends you in the wrond direction.

What kind of filtration are you using---
    Sump?----how big?-----
    Skimmer?---
How long has everything been set up?---
    (include pictures) : )

    20g? I would not add ANY MORE fish! It's a 20g!

    Some great guide lines

1fish per 10g, and adding 1 fish per month ensures better chance of long term success

He does not have any fish according to his first post. Unless I missed something.

We also asked more information. I have a 75 gallon tank but a 90 gallon sump/fuge. So sometimes you can have more fish than it would just simply appear.

I have one clown in my 20 and I am hesitant to add a second fish.

I have always gone by the 1 inch of fish per 5 gallons rule for noobs. Me personally, I let my bio-load and tank activity dictate. If you have good enough filtration and are smart about the choices, you can absolutely pack a tank with fish. Once again, you have to be smart about it, research everything and have amazing filtration. Personally I don't think this will work out in the long run because those clowns are going to get very agressive. I would do one perc and choose a couple of other smaller fish. Maybe a small goby with a pistol shrimp, etc.

Thanks, The tank has been set-up about 2 years now and I have 15 Pounds of Live Rock in there, I don't run a filter, I just let my Live Rock do the Filtering but I do 2 30-40% Water changes every week.
