    Cyano.... one tough cookie. get more flow, raise Mg levels (Worked for me...), and get more O2 in water. should get rid of it pretty fast.....

    there is also a remover you can buy i used it and it worked nicely, increase flow and mg first though try picking some out but dip your hand in fw before going in for more

    or just leave it and when your tank matures it will go on it own - some dwarf hermits eat it also

    Thanks guys. I have two power heads coming in (Maxi jet 900)...hopefully the mail arrives today.

    I hope that really helps, as it seems it should. I do not have enough eater flow.

    I have some now identified Nerite snails(see id this!) do they eat red algae?

    Vacuum what you can.

    Some frequent water changes.

    Life cycle will pass and so will it.

    If it really gets out of hand I have heard that this works great from several people. But i would try all the other options first and use as a last resort.
