Is this what I think it is? =)

I just got home a from a week out of town and discover what I think is a mushroom on the piece of LR I added a week before I left. Did I hit the jackpot, or is this a baddie?

i cant tell what it is but i doctored your pic to get a closer look.

 

It's indeed interesting. It was not there last week before I left, so whatever it is, it grew fast! I see a definite stalk there, but can't figure it. :O)

 

I think its a sponge of some kind. Sorry to burst your bubble.
