Is this worth doing ????

My 55 gal top brace is cracked on one side. hasnt gotten worse since it cracked months ago,but im moving in with my fiance so Im going to need to move the tank anyway. and have the chance to grab another 55 gal that is reef ready($100) he said he would throw in some extras but not sure what..Is this worth doing???..I wish I could go bigger but Im lucky I can bring the tank with me.. lol lol..Will I lose that much room inside,its not in the corner but against back glass off center to the left...any input would be great..thanks in advance.. oh btw he said no meds/copper in tank it was used as his frag tank only..

 

Am I to assume that your current tank is not drilled/reef ready? If I was you, I'd take the new tank. Better safe than sorry and you're much better off with a reef ready tank than one with a hang on overflow box. You won't lose all that much room.
