SW tanks are as hard or expensive as any other HOBBY. The key word here is hobby. Most, if not all hobbies take time and money. What differs is ones interests or likes. I get the same BS, " wow, sw, that must be alot of work". The same work as a boat, golf, water sport, rc items, cars, animals, in essence, all hobbies. Luna

My favorite, "What are you going to do with your little tank when you set up the big one?" or "That's just what you need, something else to take care of."

Um, same thing I'm doing with it now. The big tank will have an eel, trigger fish, tang, etc. and I can't very well put a Royal Gramma and a Rainford Goby in with them unless I want them to be food. And whose business is it if I have more than I can handle...it's not like I sleep!

as luna said, any hobby takes time and money. I also play guitar. For reference, I spent about $800 on the guitar, not to mention the amps, effects, cables etc. That is nothing, you can drop $2000 on a guitar without blinking an eye. Sw tanks do require work and money, but I have never regretted starting my reef tank. It bring me joy everyday, plus the work is half the fun for me

I'm too embarrassed to mention how much I've spent on Astronomy.

Everyone so far has been amazed, and then they think I must be rich! No I'm just a poor boy that likes bright colorful complicated pretty things!! Heck I hunt and damn with the price of everything hunting related ($150 a year just for tags, let alone all the equipment I "can't live without!") I probably pay $10 minimum a pound for burger, but I LOVE it and wouldn't quit for the world! All hobbies take time and money, and I'm willing to donate both :)!!
