OK heres the issue, after all the chems, buffer, water change cleaning and so on. ITS THE DAMN LIGHT!!! i hear you get a 6 month life time off a bulb, however i have had mine less then 5 months, i put my new light for the new setup on the tank and it was within an hour everything is back to healthy "looking" and in time i see it will all be fine. Its amazing to me the difference in how fast the decline was and it was totally unnoticed that the light had started to dem. So someone "smarter" then me should realy post a info thread on the importance of lighting and just howfast the decline could be. It was within 2 days my tank started to crash and things started die. and i had no plan to change it for another month or so because i was told not only by the product but by the lfs i had 6 months, 7 is even possible. from this point forward i will be changing these really over priced lights ever 4 months to avoid the stress on myself and the coral. Thank you all for your concern.

The life of a bulbs depends on a couple of factors. The quality of the bulb is one and the other is how long you run them daily. The less time you run them, the longer they will last.
