Hello, I have a 35 gallon saltwater tank that have been running for 3 years now and all I had in it were hermit crabs, a mushroom, a chili coral, and a large clownfish. I bought another clownfish about a week ago from a local fish store hopeing it would pair up with my larger clownfish, and it looked like it did. Just last night everything seemed fine in the tank, then in the morning my new clownfish was dead and my original clownfish had patches of white spots all over him. I knew this was probably Itch but he seemed normal but he died the next morning. This happened all so fast! :( now I don't have any fish in my tank. Any ideas of what to do next? Should I treat my tank? Any help would be appriciated.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Just wait to add any more fish for at least 60 days if it was Brookynella ( which it sounds like ) or Marine Ich the parasite will die without a host.

    Sorry for the loss.

Leave the tank fishless for about 6 weeks, without a host the parasite will die off.

If you don't have any fish in your tank - you need to let the ick die out - look it up but I think it's 6 to 8 weeks of no fish.
sorry you lost them so fast.

    He died :-/

Brookynella (clownfish disease ) presents as white patches and kills much more quickly than Marine Ich. The quickness with which the fish showed symptoms and then died and the description leads me to believe it is the pathogen. Either way leaving the tank fallow for at least 60 day should do the trick.

Make sure you leave your tank fishless for at least 6 weeks.

It sounds like brookynella, and if you add more fish in now, they will die just as quickly, ich usually does not strike that quickly.
