    so basically its a way to manage the tank params through water change to lessen the time you have to wait to stock the tank? i think i may give it a try out. ill do a change tomorrow. and would you say add a fish in a couple days?

    Oh no, try a week and see if you can keep the ammonia in check. I am sure there are some LFS folks on this forum that use this method.

    (disclaimer unless you have experience with a soft cycle, used adequate live rock, please cycle the tank fully before the addition of live stock)

    okay so water changes then add a fish after a week? i was thinking something easy like a cclown so even if i mess up on occasion i wont lose a fish haha.

    Mated pair of clowns is always good. Purple firefish are awesome too. Add fish when you have tested 0 ammonia.

    but is 6 gallons enough for either? i think 1 but a pair might be a little much. opinions?

    I've always heard a 30 gallon minimum for one, so I personally wouldn't do either.

    for this size tank I would only try one or two very small goby like fish. A shrimp tank would be cool.

    im not too sure on shrimp, i wil more than likely do a couple clown gobies. ;D
